About

An internal medicine physician, not only an oncologist.

Before specialising in cancer, Dr. Praful trained in internal medicine at AIIMS, New Delhi — three years of general medical practice covering infection, diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disease and the acutely unwell adult.

He continues to run a general physician clinic at Praneva. In practice this means a family can bring a fever, a persistent cough or an annual health check to the same clinic they already trust, rather than starting again with a stranger.

Where a symptom turns out to need a specialist, you will be told plainly — including when that specialist is not at this clinic.

Looking for cancer care?

Dr. Praful’s oncology practice — diagnosis, second opinions, bone marrow procedures and palliative care — is on a separate page.

Common reasons to come in

What people come in with

Fever and infection

Fever that will not settle, throat and chest infections, urinary infections, dengue and typhoid — assessed clinically, with blood tests available in the same building.

Diabetes and blood pressure

Diagnosis, medication adjustment and follow-up, with HbA1c, kidney function and lipids done here so decisions are not delayed waiting for reports.

Thyroid and hormonal problems

Fatigue, weight change, hair loss and menstrual disturbance investigated properly rather than treated on a guess.

Health checks

Age-appropriate screening for adults, and a straightforward explanation of which tests are worth doing and which are not.

Fatigue and unexplained symptoms

Tiredness, weight loss and vague symptoms that need someone to take a full history before ordering anything.

Elderly care

Multiple medicines reviewed together, falls, appetite, and the practical questions that come with looking after an ageing parent.

In the clinic

Done here, in the clinic

Complete blood count, blood sugar, HbA1c, liver and kidney function, thyroid profile, lipids, vitamin B12 and D, iron studies and urine examination are collected here. For most of these you will not need a second trip.

Particularly for older patients on several long-term medicines — checking for interactions, duplications and drugs that are no longer needed. Bring every strip and box you are taking, including anything bought without a prescription.

Adult vaccination guidance — influenza, pneumococcal, hepatitis B, tetanus and travel-related advice — including honest discussion of which are worth the cost for a particular person.

If a problem needs a cardiologist, surgeon, gastroenterologist or an admission, you will be told directly and pointed to a specific place, not sent away with a vague suggestion.

Appointments

Give everyday illness the diagnostic attention it deserves.

WhatsApp is the fastest way to reach us — send your name and what the appointment is for, and someone from the clinic will confirm a time.
